Recipe: Oyster Ceviche


Oyster Ceviche Recipe (serves 2)

Mise-en-place ingredients:

  • 12 Shucked and drained oysters
  • Juice of 2 limes, ½ lemon and ½ orange
  • 1 tbsp cilantro
  • 1 tbsp red onion in fine slivers
  • 1 tsp Olive oil
  • ½ tsp Hot Sauce
  • Salt & Pepper

Shuck 12 oysters and drain the oyster in a sieve, until there is no water coming out of the oysters anymore.

Put everything together and let marinate for 5 minutes.

Spoon the ceviche, 6 oysters each, with the marinade in 2 martini or classic champagne glasses (or any glass that makes it look a bit more fancy).

Garnish with a tortilla chip or even a cracker, which you can use to eat the ceviche on too.
