The concept of the Oester Meisjes (Oyster Girls) started over 7 years ago in Amsterdam as a new culinary experience that spices up events and offers something unique and unexpected.
Dutchman and Art Dealer Rifko Meier introduced the concept to New York and founded the raw bar catering company Oysters XO in 2013. Raised as the youngest of a high-end restaurant family, Rifko started, at a young age, a successful restaurant PR & marketing company; promoting over 800 restaurants. Rifko Meier is an oyster expert and truly passionate about pairing them with the best wines of the world.
Oysters XO garnered a loyal following in the press: New York Times, Washington Post, Vogue, New York Magazine, ABC News, New York Post, BizBash Magazine and more. Among other media, the Oyster Girls & Oyster Guys are listed as one of the main Wedding Caterers in NYC by New York Wedding Magazine.
